Since first making headlines competing in the Miss Minnesota USA pageant wearing a hijab, Halima has been on the covers of numerous magazines, on the runway, and in ad campaigns. Despite her success, she remains grounded. “I want this to be greater than me. Every editorial, every cover, every campaign that I do is as much for me as it is for women in my community.
